Australian Track Titles- Brisbane

Competing at the Australian Track Titles held at Mick Doohan Raceway in Brisbane—a track I had only ridden on once before in 2022—this year's meet showcased a stark contrast in my skillset and confidence. The races were incredibly close, most finishing with nail-biting gaps of just 0.5, 0.5, 0.3, and 0.2 seconds. Throughout the weekend, I pushed myself to the limit, constantly learning new skills and adapting to the ever-changing track and weather conditions.

Claiming a victory by over a second in one race was undoubtedly a highlight. However, the true victory was the significant improvement I've made throughout the event. While I might have hoped for different results in some races, I am thrilled about the progress I've made and the fierce competition I faced. Taking second overall in the Pro Open Women’s category  that was decided over a points system of a total of five races  with scores of 2nd ,2nd ,2nd ,1st  & 2nd  . This has ignited an even greater hunger in me to strive for the top spot.

Competing in the Pro Open class against the men was an intense and educational experience. It was tough racing against the best, and the results were a mix of highs and lows—6th, - , 8th, and 3rd. Unfortunately, due to a lowside crash I had in the second race, I didn’t accumulate enough points to qualify for the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

In the Pro 450 class, the competition was equally fierce, I finished 8th, - , 10th, and 8th in my races. Another lowside crash in the third race in the rain which made it challenging, I didn’t accumulate enough points for the LCQ. These setbacks were tough to take in, but it was a valuable lesson in resilience and the unpredictable nature of racing.

This experience has boosted my confidence knowing as I head to the Australian Dirt Track Titles on July 20-21 at The Whitsundays Dirt Track Club. There, I will defend my Australian Title, armed with the speed and skills I honed over the past weekend. I’m eager to apply everything I've learned and show that my hard work has paid off. Here’s to bringing my best to the track and continuing my journey towards excellence and my never give up attitude towards racing.
