Australian Dirt Track Titles North Brisbane - QLD
After a stressful week with a full engine rebuild, Don Tune, Steve Guest, my sponsors, family, friends and supporters made it possible for me to go racing at the Australian Dirt Track Titles in North Brisbane over the weekend.
This was my first time riding at this track and to say I’m stoked with my efforts would be an understatement.
After getting a variety of 4th's, 5th's and 6th's placings in my Pro 450cc and Mx Open Heats I was in the top 4 gate pick for the repechage.
I just missed out on getting into the finals in both classes however I think I gained respect from many of the riders, and spectators. I felt great on the bike, I felt fast and very competitive.
I placed 13th overall in Pro Open and in Pro 450cc I placed 14th overall with an elite level of riders. I am extremely proud of my results.
Pro Open Women’s unfortunately I just couldn’t buy a start all weekend, every race I battled from the rear to make my way forward to take away Four 2nd’s and One 3rd giving me 2nd Overall. My speed from racing Pro 450 and Pro Open was more than fast enough to win the women’s however my starts let me down and I can not give 50mtrs away at the start to win it.
Lessons learnt and improvements to be made.
I am pleased with my results for the Australian Dirt Track Titles and I look forward to September for the the Australian Long Track Titles.
Thanks to all my sponsors and supporters without you all it simply wouldn’t be possible
